We provided test management and technical testing services.
We delivered testing into the Smart Metering Implementation Programme, interfacing with test engineers, the Head of Testing, programme directors, CAB impact-assessors and external customers along the way.
We set up and managed the test lab and equipment.
We provisioned and managed the DCC Arqiva test lab and its equipment, including smart electricity and gas meters, communication hubs, pre-payment devices, in-home displays and other diagnostic equipment.

About the smart meter rollout
As part of the Government’s commitment to reduce carbon emissions and help consumers lower household energy bills, smart electricity and gas meters are being rolled out to all homes across the UK by 2024.
Arqiva have been appointed as the responsible organisation for delivering the technology behind this new smart communications network for the North of the UK, working closely with the DCC.
